88 Points

Tuesday, January 1, 2019 - Opened after two disappointing and slightly oxidized 2008 from the same producer and same vineyard. This is more promising already from the point it is poured: brilliant light yellow with hints of green. Classic aromas of chalk, citrus, lime, green apples, as well as some oaky tones (butter and smoke). Full bodied, smooth in the mouth, very good acidity, but surprisingly uncomplicated. The total impression is that of a round, almost sweet and a somewhat monotone wine. OK length. but again unimpressing. This will probably not get better, so drink up, preferably not with too flavourful food.
