Thursday, January 18, 2024 - right crimson in color. 14.9% ABV. Stunning nose of dark fruits, leather, cigar box and wet leaves. Medium body with medium acidity. Supple and approachable. Currants, cassis, tobacco and earth on the palate. Nice length on the finish with prominent, gritty tannins. Lean and more austere than most anything from Napa Valley but still eminently appealing. Best over the next 5-7 years.
