Sunday, August 14, 2016 - Dark ruby with one fruit fly. Soft nose of violets with a whiff of oak. Dry tart fruit with some contrasting sweetness. On night two, luscious medium body and fruit, soft well integrated tannins. I've been a bit critical of the WA Syrahs of late, but this is one fine wine. Cool vintages are my favorite and the '11s have been very appealing to my palate with their restrained nature. Well balanced with a smooth mouth feel.
