84 Points

Sunday, May 7, 2017 - At around $14 an inexpensive wine from Puglia in southern Italy from the Uva di Troia grape. Very dark color, opaque with an inch pour. The nose is mostly hints of English walnut, licorice, and plum. The mouthfeel is soft, limpid, and juicy, and tannin becomes noticeable only after the swallow, with a slightly bitter and vegetable taste. Overall, drinkable but neither distinguished nor much enjoyable.
