91 Points

Tuesday, July 17, 2012 - (feeding lisa) Dark garnet in the glass, with faded plums, chocolate mocha, and characteristic capsicum vegetality. Good concentration of dark berries on tasting, with yet more earth, savory spices, graphite and empty loamy finish, with breakfast-tea coppers. Remarkably enough, almost no other fruit or spicy sweetness one expects, but soft tannins on the mouthfeel. A great food wine, pairing nicely with our steak. Might have seen better days, but still, a good Barossa cab.
