TCV reds come to us unmediated by the various aromatic intensifiers of grapey, nouveau fruit or toasted new oak (mint, clove, smoke, vanilla, coconut, caramel from the transformation of wood sugars and lignins). That said, I found this guy a little above average in complexity for the TCV red norm at this stage of its youth. Sometimes I do wish all that pristine fruit had a bit of toasted oak to accent it
