Thursday, December 23, 2021 - PnP, but better with 15 minutes of air. A light to medium ruby in the glass. Some initial funk upon opening which blows off with air yielding red fruit and earth. The red fruits carry over to the medium bodied palate along with an amplified earthy component and juicy acidity. The latest Tablas Creek Vintage Chart shows this wine "drinking well-mature", but my impression of this wine is of a slightly overaged Cotes du Rhone. The wine will not improve, so drink up.
