Tuesday, November 28, 2017 - More WSET wines (Chicago, IL): For such a large-scaled wine, I have to say that I enjoyed this quite a bit. The nose and palate are both large scaled, with copious black fruit all over. There's a bit of funkiness on the nose as well that I couldn't place -- perhaps it was a mild touch of reduction? There's a bit of ash in this wine that I think keeps this from being a generic fruit bomb. I'd certainly be interested in seeing how these wines age, though I'm pretty sure I've used up my Taurasi quota for the year already.

11/29/2017 11:15:00 AM - I can confirm that this wine age well. I am drinking now 1998 vintage. Could be unequal but not more then any 20 years old bottle.
