Saturday, June 20, 2015 - Wines that Rock (Craig & Nita's Place): Very dark purple/red color. PNP with a couple of hours of slow-O time. Drank 2 glasses over 2 hours. This was outstanding and drinking in a wonderful already. I would have expected this to need much more air, but no, it was open and beautiful. The nose offers up an intense aroma of sweet intense cassis with a dense layer of blackberry right behind that, graphite, cedar and a floral burst as well. The palate is steeped in this succulent and spellbinding core of layered pure black fruits; cassis, blackberry, kir, graphite, cedar, hints of savory and a long intense finish. Young, vibrant and lush, but restrained and alluring. I'm thrilled to see where this is at and where I think it will go over the next 10 years. 95(+)pts.
