Sunday, April 19, 2020 - Amazingly, this wine keeps going and going. We opened it Friday night, double decanted and had a couple of glasses. Big red and dark fruit nose with a lot of tannic structure. Having it again on Sunday under argon for a couple of days it has evolved nicely, still with a big nose and more integrated tannins. Anise, black cherry, currant, forest floor, vegetal, Chinese 5-spice. Way better.
Who would guess? I would, and find Barolo and this type of experience intriguing but very frustrating. Any comments would be appreciated.
