2/24/2023 11:07:00 AM - Re your question 'Could you recommend any more affordable producers who Re have that hedonistic/ethereal quality, like we see in Rousseau, Liger Belair and Leroy?' Obviously your palate is craving for silk textures; flavorful; but ethereal ? I'd suggest you try these: la sauce silky style: Domaine Guyon (Not Antonin Guyon) especially Brulees and Ech. la sauce understated: Bruno Clair especially the Beze 2018, Fonteny 2018, Clos St Jacques 2018 la sauce elegant and balanced : everything from Benjamin Leroux. la sauce ethereal: Duroche And the best value found this year: -Galleyrand 2019 Marsannay La combe du pre -Bouvier 2019 gevrey racines du temps and Chambolle Les Fuees. These last 2 guys have reconnected me with pop and simplcity without any overthinking with who I should open bottles, something everyone is facing whenever opening a branded Burg these days.
