Monday, February 6, 2017 - Classic leather & sweat initial nose of Beaucastel that developed into a refined lovely Rhone bouquet that is hard to describe in standard red wine terms.Took about an hour of airing to bring it to its best.
Solid acids in background have held fruit over the years and no signs of over-ripeness mar the palate experience. Long finish is elegant and medium weight. Very well balanced.
Bottle was part of a wedding gift from the Perins while at Beaucastel.
