Wednesday, April 20, 2016 - Our first Ridge (courtesy of Grapes, White Plains) (Landmarc): Didn't realize that these wines are more of a field blend - this one having the Zinfandel with the Petite Sirah, Carignon, and some others. Very fruit forward, red currant, a bit on the young side. Wonder if it would mellow down with some age - I think I'd like a bit more in that case. It's got a touch of spice which I like. Overall though less interesting that the Geyersville which was just in a nice spot for the night.

4/25/2016 8:06:00 PM - I love this wine, but it helps with a couple years. I have a few 12s and 13s, and still find the 12s a little young and need an hour plus to open up. A great short range age worthy wine, if you can keep a few for a couple years.
