Sunday, December 13, 2020 - Deep straw color, giving me a suspicion of oxidation. But, luckily!, this wine is just perfect. Quite closed nose at first, revealing its complexity first after having being poured into a carafe and the left for an hour to reach a higher temperature. Classic aromas of ripe citrus, lime, honeysuckle, peach as well as nuts and a woody vanilla tone. Keeps evolving in the glass. Full bodied attack, but also with a searing acidity that lifts the wine to great heights: lime, citrus, peach, pineapple dominates the mouth and the aftertaste, then there is an almost tannic tone in the finish giving an impression of a "solid" wine (in the sense "will keep well"). Very long and a bit restrained at the moment. This a serious wine that probably is five years too young, at least. The wine will probably deserve much higher score in the future. This must be grand cru quality?
