Monday, June 27, 2016 - Purple-ruby. Aroma of pungent vanilla, hint of black pepper, lots of prune, strawberry and a bit of honey. The body is medium. Finish is medium. The wine has medium acidity. As it warms, hint of balsamic, blackberry syrup. Not complex on the tongue... very "single note", but decent QPR, especially for a monday night. hint of a bite in the back of the throat and hint of medicinal cherry on the tongue.
