Sunday, August 3, 2014 - PnP. Mature and open nose of dried rose petals, dried fruits, dark cherries, tar and cedar wood. On the palate similar flavors, but also some sweet spices. With some more air also some menthol notes emerge. Medium-full bodied with still medium tannin and medium acidity. Good length. It drinks great right now, but there is still quite some tannic structure for a 15 years old Barolo. Nevertheless I will probably drink my last bottle within the next 2-3 years while the fruit is still present. Nice Barolo from this classic and generally slightly underrated vintage.
