Wednesday, January 1, 2014 - 2014 New Year's Day Tasting $100+ (Marietta, GA): My second bottle; dark ruby purple to rim; smells noble, tart berry, rich, layered, spice, orange; alcoholic, rich and deep, red and dark fruit, fig, tannic, grainy texture, sandalwood, sweet spice, meat juice, very masculine and structured; people all over the place from Italy to Bordeaux (it can get that way 13 bottles in); very young and delicious but in need of 3-5 years at least; 91+.
