Monday, March 19, 2012 - Big gamey style that's not my preference, and isn't particularly alluring (to my palate) for present drinking on its own. For me, this requires a food pairing that would complement its aggressively masculine style. Fair amount of acidity and tannins. Little in the way of sweet, elegant fruit. I'm not rating this, because there's a bouillon note to it that makes me wonder about it being cooked. I'm not batting a very good average tonight. 5 open, 3 flawed.
