Saturday, March 28, 2015 - Poured with a bright ruby coloring. The nose gave a blast of strawberries and some raspberry while the flavor profile was of red fruit. However, the astringency typical of d'Asti barbera came through almost immediately. At first I thought the astringency resulted from a poor match with the acidity of the tomatoes in the lasagna, but it faded only slightly long after dinner ended.
