Tuesday, September 11, 2018 - Deep dark garnet. A nose of tobacco, cherry. The first sip is somewhat surprising with quite an attack of acidity and tannic structure. Not in a bad way at all, but just caught me off guard. Beautiful notes of dark cherry, cassis, spice, tobacco, this wine has - as they say - a lot going on. Firm tannins that indicate that there are many years to go. Medium finish with just a touch of bitterness. And, at about $45 - $50, a great QPR.
