Friday, May 15, 2009 - Casual dinner with great wine in NY: Black fruit with great spice on the nose. Similar fruit profile on palate. Floral charm unfolds with time in the glass, this wine has layers upon layers of flavor and texture. Dense, rich, concentrated, still almost completely primary. Second time I have tried this wine. First time - it was the best Rhone wine I ever had, this one just a shadow behind. I hate when a Rhone wine is WOTN when there are plenty of great Burgs on the table!
