Tuesday, December 25, 2012 - I last tasted this wine one year ago. This current bottle was not as memorable as last year; I can only attribute that to the acidity being flat. The color is darkening compared to last year, and the nose is pear, lemon curd, baking spice, and honeysuckle. The texture is viscous, but the finish is a huge disappointment as a result of the brevity. The lack of acidity here means this is time to drink up while other 2005 Sauternes continue to improve.
