Friday, August 19, 2022 - This light golden Chardonnay was tasted over a two-hour period in double-blind fashion from a well-cellared bottle that had been popped and poured. Improving during the first 30 minutes in glass, it revealed itself to be an impressive village-level offering. White peach, citrus, jasmine, coriander and wet stone aromas are followed by similar flavors on a fresh, medium-bodied palate. The oak and alcohol (13%) are nicely integrated, there is no hint of oxidation and the middle is dense. Closing with good length, this is drinking beautifully at this point. Comparably cellared bottles should provide pleasure for another five years or more. Drink now-2027.
