The Travellers Club, London (The Travellers Club, London): Fresh and bright full on energy and really this does not feel at all 9 years old. So much brightness in it , mineral, light citrus and proper structure. Stone fruits, steely cold feel too and frankly this punches way over its humble village level and will aged happily for another 5+ years. An impressive 91-92

This light golden Chardonnay was tasted over a two-hour period in double-blind fashion from a well-cellared bottle that had been popped and poured. Improving during the first 30 minutes in glass, it revealed itself to be an impressive village-level offering. White peach, citrus, jasmine, coriander and wet stone aromas are followed by similar flavors on a fresh, medium-bodied palate. The oak and alcohol (13%) are nicely integrated, there is no hint of oxidation and the middle is dense. Closing with good length, this is drinking beautifully at this point. Comparably cellared bottles should provide pleasure for another five years or more. Drink now-2027.

Transparent yellow-straw. Medium-to-medium-light body, medium-to-medium-plus acid. Lemon citrus, good sea salt, some richness, and white cherry. Refreshing mineral finish. Drank this outdoors at a seafood restaurant in Paris on a 100 degree day, and it could not have gone better.
