Friday, January 4, 2019 - Winorama: A winter in Wineland III; 1/4/2019-1/13/2019 (Portland/Willamette, Eureka, Napa): Interesting comparison to a right bank wine ('09 Lafleur-Gazin). This is obviously a nicer wine and I'd also have said a bit younger in its drinking window although it was more approachable than I originally expected. Was from a Coravin pour where the bottle was almost kicked so it's possible that by this point air had been getting in. Darker black fruits. Some crushed gravel. Lots of blueberry. Bit of earth. Decent tannin. This was actually quite drinkable for me as is although agree that it probably wasn't drinking like a new bottle just uncorked.
