In the glass, medium ruby red at the rim, shading gracefully to dark, opaque red at the core, still quite youthful in appearance. On the nose, cherries, nutmeg, and a touch of anise. On the palate, very fruit forward - for a central coast PN, stylistically this could easily pass for an RRV from that timeframe, big and lush. The tannic structure kicks in on the finish.
