≈85 min decant into a plastic, cylindrical pitcher which was then closed. Noted a fair amount of sediment in the neck of the bottle; Private Preserve after Day 1.

N: FRAGRANTLY *ripe* blkberries with notes of iron & hints of pyrazines

P: MF body; RNDISH entry with very NICE, ALMOST swtish frt met by an astringent pucker which stays within hailing distance of the init frt as it works its way into a very LONG, balanced finish with ult a pleasantly alluring TANGY/swtness (55:45) to the fairly unobtrussive, yet firming, dusty tannins. Drinking BEAUTIFULLY right now, though with plenty of life left for drinking into '24. My EXC (92,93/100 using that metric), & I could see EXC+ *if* paired with a compatible entrée, the night's Chx Breast with Feta/Spinach Stuffing™ [a Costco MRE] *not* being that, with the 1 serving of Grilled Skirt Steak being a somewhat better match.
// Day 2: Still fragrant, the pyrazines being slightly > prominent. Went reasonably well with the night's Meatloaf & Scalloped Potatoes side, the main's Swt Chili Sauce being an unsettling factor. Overall, though, I felt the frt had fallen off > I would have expected. :( Therefore, probably best to consume by early '23? [As of late Jun '20, wine-searcher still shows 5 sources from $50-$70].

Note: 1st tasted on 1/21/17.

™[The stuffing was slightly > problematical than the Chx, though that wasn't very compatible either.]
