Thursday, December 22, 2016 - From the cellar of a friend who noted he paid $50 on release for the bottle! Very dark, brooding fruit with stem notes; a deep and pure nose that speaks to the '91 vintage. Gorgeous texture in the mouth with maturing purity of the fruit--I love '91 burgs. Good finish, and this opens up with more and more air, gaining in depth and structure. What it lacks is a defining sense of terroir, but perhaps that is Echezeaux. A very good wine I'd be more than happy to encounter again--can drink now or hold for several years.
