I agree with other tasting notes on this wine. It is just not what you are expecting from a DRC in terms of depths of flavors, mostly red pinot fruit but a lot of acidity. I'm not sure if this will ever come into balance for my liking.
Good Wine, Good Steak (Tampa FL): I am certain we would enjoyed this wine far more if served in a different context, particularly alongside the 1991 RSV. This came across as larger scaled and slightly more rugged for DRC, with more prominent structural elements vs organoleptic pleasure.
Bright ruby with orange-y hues. Ethereal nose and palate of tea, potpourri, tar and cherry pie with an elongated finish. Somewhat past peak and no tannins left to speak of, but it's not done yet. Lovely.
