Saturday, March 26, 2022 - PnP, consumed over 4 hours. Appearance: Clear, dark ruby with just the slightest edge bricking. Nose: Clean, medium+ intensity, blackberry, black cherry, black olive, leather, dark earth, and black pepper. Palate: Dry, medium acid and tannin, 14.4% abv - would have guessed 14.7% - 15.0%, medium intensity, medium+ body with flavors of black olive, ripe blackberry, black pepper, leather, and tobacco with a medium+ finish. Overall a very good wine excelling in complexity and length, seems to be at peak or just past (bottle was purchased upon release and stored in my passive basement cellar) - drink now or over next 2 years.
