The aromatic material on this wine (just as other bottles) shows some great layering of hazelnut, chamomile, honeyed flowers, lemon custard and a bit of apple coming through but the palate seems a bit clipped and monolithic compared to tasting this a few years back. No signs of premox, perhaps just in an odd drinking window? Quite high in acid and with the lean palate, it does come across as short and simple for 1er Cru. I would like to try again. Based on this bottle, there is no rush.
