Saturday, April 6, 2013 - Dense color, to match the overall concentration of the wine. Deep, dark, peppery nose with a whiff of acetone on end. On the palate there is a pleasant sharpness to this wine; it is slightly tart, with a hot and sweet finish reminiscent of cinnamon candy. Tannins still provide adequate grip, indicating that a few years of additional maturation may bring yet more nuances out of what is already a complex and powerful wine.
