87 Points

Thursday, November 12, 2020 - We've had much better Spanish, earthy, Tempranillo. It's got biting, grippy, distracting tannins. It's not becoming. In our cellar since May 2018. We had hoped for more, but 88.9, seems about right, a little high even. Underwhelming. Almost good. After 30 minutes open, the fruit began to show up, like West Chester mentioned. Tannins dissipated some. OK, this is good sign... Pour another and dig in... But... Still lacking... Had w a spicy veggie meatball w mushroom spaghetti dish. Wanted balance but the flavor is just acceptable, nothing more... 87/88 Pts.
