Friday, June 8, 2018 - Wonderful expression of sgm in this case, a spicy and oh so black pepper filled example of american left coast Rhone blends being able to rival CdPs at about half the price. This black fruited morsel had such an interesting midpalate and finish, some prune, plenty of pepper spice and a nice leather saddle component that I was glad I didn't wait any longer to try my first bottle. Unlike other '14s I've had this one was definitely ready to go - though still tannic the fruit and earthiness made it a great pop and pour. Thankfully it was even better after the second day. Just a great qpr from these guys. Do they ever make a boring wine?
