Wonderful expression of sgm in this case, a spicy and oh so black pepper filled example of american left coast Rhone blends being able to rival CdPs at about half the price. This black fruited morsel had such an interesting midpalate and finish, some prune, plenty of pepper spice and a nice leather saddle component that I was glad I didn't wait any longer to try my first bottle. Unlike other '14s I've had this one was definitely ready to go - though still tannic the fruit and earthiness made it a great pop and pour. Thankfully it was even better after the second day. Just a great qpr from these guys. Do they ever make a boring wine?

Still very solid wine. Hint's of plum and anise on the nose. Medium body and some blueberry seeps into the palate. lasting finish.

Better than any CDR I've had recently, and better yet, no suggestion of Brett or overly tannic. Easily enough stuffing to last another five years.

Very tasty at this stage - definitely new world, but has good balance. Rich palate yet very easy to drink - a great party red for the winter.

Reminds me of a really nice Cotes du Rhône without the brett.
Good now, but will be better in a year.
