Saturday, January 19, 2013 - Cornas Fest (Shane's abode, Portland OR): Nose: There is a real minerality to the nose with crushed rocks striking right off the bat along with tones of dark red fruits, olives, black fruits, leather, and some dark red cherries.

Taste: Medium/full bodied with medium+ acidity and good silky tannins. There are really nice and classy tones of crushed rocks, olives, black fruits, and dark red cherries as well.

Overall: This is a real classy Cornas. It's clearly on the younger side, but it's drinking very well right now. It could use a couple more years, but one can't be faulted for opening it now.
