For current drinking, this was the WOTN in the Granit 60 set in my view. Airy fruit, herbal, iodine and irone notes, beautiful fruit. Around and about with good complexity and understated power. If I had any of this in my cellar, I would get going with drinking it. Very impressive. My last note on this wine is from 2015 - it took another 9 years to arrive. Granit 60 tasting chez Lillelund.

Very fine. Elegant, light on it's feet, chalky, airy. Very enjoyable indeed, absolutely one of the best in the tasting. Looks like a mature version of the 2014. #ParisTasting#ChezMoi

Tight, but presenting an ok juiciness. If not the biggest, most authentic Cornas, this is certainly well made and quite drinkable. Still very much alive on day 3.

2004 Rhone Tasting chez Lillelund (Lilleund's home): Very good structure, fresh with good acidity. Upright wine, very mineral. Perhaps a bit short on the finish notes Niels. This is a very good, enjoyable wine that I'd be happy to drink from now and on.

Cornas Fest (Shane's abode, Portland OR): Nose: There is a real minerality to the nose with crushed rocks striking right off the bat along with tones of dark red fruits, olives, black fruits, leather, and some dark red cherries.
Taste: Medium/full bodied with medium+ acidity and good silky tannins. There are really nice and classy tones of crushed rocks, olives, black fruits, and dark red cherries as well.
Overall: This is a real classy Cornas. It's clearly on the younger side, but it's drinking very well right now. It could use a couple more years, but one can't be faulted for opening it now.

Cornas tasting (Shane's house): Soft fruit on the aromas, with an interesting raw shell fish component that was unexpected. The palate is juicy and delicious, on a voluptuous frame. Really nice and pretty and despite the large tannins it's balanced and elegant. The finish is more tight still, but at the same time has a beautiful presence. Even 20 seconds after I swallow the wine seems to be caressing my palate in a very pleasing way. Impressive. This was much more enjoyable than expected.

penetrating nose of clean earthy grape and tobacco; closed on day one; more open on day 2 with olive tampenade, tobacco leaf, forest floor, mixed dark fruit; cedar and sl bitter tannins but well itegrated into the mix; great with the bbq lamb, tho slightly sour after the figs and yams; intriging, needs more time

Decently priced cornas. I noted the newer vintages upped the price, though.

Polaner Selections Fall Preview Tasting (New York City): Medium ruby color. Nose of smoke, earth, black fruit and a little heat. On the palate it's a tad thin, showing its youth, but with nice acid backbone.
