95 Points

Friday, November 24, 2023 - Raspberries. Dark chocolate. Chai teas and spice. “Sticks” Plenty of red fruit but looking secondary. Fall floral bouquet. Decanted. Pure, lifted, clean. Black truffle. Perfumed and elegant. Bright red cherry. Perfect with Shiitake mushroom. I think this is in about as perfect shape as it can be, and shows a little of the leaner / austere character of 1995, but overall this is an excellent bottle. Still completely clean, lifted, and shows that Rousseau elegance and class, but probably not as glowing, powerful, or jump-from-the-glass expressive as Chambertin or Beze.
