Thursday, August 1, 2019 - Seems to be in a somewhat muted state - my previous bottle was definitely better. I would not guess Carignan if tasted it blind, does not resemble to French or Spanish versions. Oak-driven, Bordeaux inspired style. Bitterness, oak, licorice on the nose, and some tobacco and leather as signs of a developing wine. Powerful, extracted palate, it's quite structured. A bit old school and heavy, with some heat on the finish, yet it still has some charm. Hold.
