Saturday, May 7, 2016 - Did not bother decanting this at 14 years of age. Had been kept in 55 - 59 degrees cellar since release.
This was an extraordinary sensory experience....it was as if the wine was not even liquid---as if my tongue were suddenly immersed in raspberry cream foam!!! Weightless....without tannin, any edges or distractions. Truly a unique wine experience. Followed a '90 Jaboulet La Chapelle and and '98 Grange.....but this was WOTN for its uniqueness! I have had hundreds of Turleys, but nothing this old.
