Wednesday, February 21, 2024 - Still young looking with bright rich ruby colour and only the slightest hint of garnet at the very rim. The nose is complex with dark red fruits, black cherry and raspberry, brambles and hawthorne, fresh leather and a bit of barnyard but beautifully delineated and pure. If you look for it there are also violets and hint of vanilla. Very good quality indeed.

The palate is bright and fresh, and perfectly balanced. Rich red fruits, with enough complexity and slightly seaweed nori styled finish to keep this complex and bring you back for more. This lingers for an age. Tannins are there but beautifully integrated and I was surprised at how approachable and ready to drink this was.

A simply delightful young Bordeaux, and I wouldn’t hesitate to pull a cork, but also plenty of upside potential. I’m a buyer.
