  • Nice young Bordeaux, showing well but still finishing with enough tannins to prompt me to leave my last three for 5 years at least.
Cut through the fat of Easter lamb beautifully and when fully integrated will be a smooth unctuous mouthful.

  • 1 hour slow ox followed by 2 hour decant. Not as fruit forward as I was hoping and it didn't open up much more over the 90 minutes or so that we drank. I suspect it's in a closed phase. Even so, nice floral quality and great acidity. An elegant sipper that we all enjoyed. Give another five years.

  • Still young looking with bright rich ruby colour and only the slightest hint of garnet at the very rim. The nose is complex with dark red fruits, black cherry and raspberry, brambles and hawthorne, fresh leather and a bit of barnyard but beautifully delineated and pure. If you look for it there are also violets and hint of vanilla. Very good quality indeed.

The palate is bright and fresh, and perfectly balanced. Rich red fruits, with enough complexity and slightly seaweed nori styled finish to keep this complex and bring you back for more. This lingers for an age. Tannins are there but beautifully integrated and I was surprised at how approachable and ready to drink this was.

A simply delightful young Bordeaux, and I wouldn’t hesitate to pull a cork, but also plenty of upside potential. I’m a buyer.

  • Colour: Deep ruby.

Nose: Right off the bat, very floral note. Dark fruit aroma - blackberries, black currants, along with hint of leather and green spice, forest floor. Very serious and complex.

Palate: Fresh acidity with structured tannins from the get go from the bottle. Fruit forward in the beginning with blackberries, black currants, and peppery spices, and finishes with earthy notes, mushrooms, and forest floor.

This is a very approachable and delicious young bordeaux, and I cannot wait to try this again 5-10 years down the road. Sublime.
