Saturday, June 16, 2018 - Double-decanted back into the bottle before drinking. Herbs and flowers and leather and hints of tobacco on the nose, very compelling. Palate is still a bit closed but even now is showing underripe plums and cherries with a bit of meaty umami and leather. Tannins are still a bit overpowering but the acidity and minerality is there and in another two or three years I think this wine is going to be off the hook. Very good now, will definitely get better with age.
