Saturday, November 7, 2020 - Deep ruby. A very herbal nose that I could not quite place (eucalyptus?) along with a quite a bit of unpleasant reduction notes. Medium body with medium acidity and silky tannins. Bright fruit notes of stewed cherries and raspberries with very good depth along with some earthiness towards the back and finish. Fruit forward but not in an obnoxious or in your face way. Just really enjoyable on the palate and my wife was a big fan. Great accompaniment to some cherrywood smoked tomahawk pork chops.
