Sunday, March 19, 2023 - I wanted to hold onto this longer but I saw it around 50% Grenache and counoise which I’d say are varietals meant to be drunk young. The approximate other 50% are more age worthy. What to do? Life is too short so I pulled the trigger. Gave it a 3 hour decant. Upon opening it tasted of fresh strawberries. Coming back at hour 3 those flavors had faded. It became more gamey and rich. CdP type funk on it. Day 2 it was okay. I guess this can hold longer if you want but I’d get into it within the next 3 years.
