Saturday, February 17, 2024 - Popped and poured. A little weak and milquetoast for my taste. Fully mature, but translucent red color and viscosity suggest youth. Yet nose and mouth are mostly tertiary: leather, soil, and milk chocolate. It is either fading or too young. I don’t have enough experience with this particular wine. And I’m not alone. CT drink dates appear to suggest this is on the downside of life, while the winery’s website claims it is in early maturity. I wonder who’s right? 5-11-14-7: 87/100.
