Monday, May 23, 2022 - Deep purple color. Aromas of dark berry syrup and grilled herbs. Fully body, medium-low tannins, medium acid. Initially sweet blueberries and cola on the palate and a little detectable heat on finish. Sweet, thick, and With air this got sweeter and thicker. Prunes, canned cranberry sauce. Served with duck in a raspberry glaze which really helped to balance this out. On its own it was much too sweet to enjoy. Struggled to get through the bottle.
