Monday, August 13, 2007 - Drank from a crappy Libby stem, which makes it difficult to pull something from the nose but there is a fragrant, creamy note there. The wine shows a darker side (as tasted side by side with the 2005 Loring Garys'), along with some earth notes. I expected perhaps a leaner presentation but this wine has some reinforcing fleshiness. Fruit reflects a mix of red (cranberry) and black (blackbery), with a pretty nice hit of acidity bringing in the finish. Bit of spice and cinnamon here, too.
