Monday, March 4, 2024 - Blind tasting
Pale lemon with gold reflections and bubbles on the glass
Aromatics medium. Cream, pear and citrus. Later some flinty minerality. No new oak
Palate has a medium body with a rounded lees contact mouthfeel. Acid medium +. Alcohol medium. No phenolics. Citrus, mainly lemon with nice minerality
Dry glass notes of cream
Finish has a medium length. Balanced
I guessed a 2020 Albarino given the citrus/salinity on the palate, but this wine has the muted aromatics and mouthfeel more in keeping with Muscadet. Nice wine
