Tuesday, April 28, 2020 - After a somewhat off bottle I had last year, this one was simply beautiful after a short decant: Layers of black- and ripe raspberries, some meaty notes, mushrooms, licorice and thyme. Still quite a powerhouse with lively tannin, high acidity, opulent ripe fruit and all the more developed notes. Although the Paleo 2003 cannot deny the very hot vintage, this feels never too bold or too chubby. Excellent effort from one of Bolgheri’s finest.
